Een andere blokkade

Dit citaat roept herkenning op. Verdriet te diep, te overweldigend om te vatten in woorden. Of te pijnlijk om het te uiten omdat daarmee het weer echt wordt. Ook drukt het de aanwezigheid van de ander uit; de ander nodigt uit tot contact, tot vertellen.

Mijns inziens passen een paar regels uit het lied 'this woman's work' van Kate Bush goed bij dit gevoel:

I Should Be Crying But I Just Can't Let It Show,
I Should Hoping But I Can't Thinking,
All The Things We Should've Said That I Never Said,
All The Things We Should Have Done That We Never Did,
All The Things We Should've Given But I Didn't,
Oh Darling Make It Go,
Make It Go Away...
