Tanja Kalmanovich, viola and violin player, teaches improvisation workhops for string players.
In her workshop she gives a strong emphasis on rhythm as a basic element of imrovisation. By the use of konnekol, south India’s rhythmic solfegge system, the students learn how to deal with the concept of time and with complicated rhytmic patterns.
