30 minute- conversation
There was only 30 minutes to have an interactive discussion with 70 participants! They where sitting in theatre format with me, the moderator, standing in the front.
I asked all of them to leave their chairs and join me standing on stage. I put them into small groups of four. As if standing in a public square they all started to talk. After ten minutes I started walking through the crowd and asking questions about their discussion. I got nice responses and the general feeling was very good and positive.
In the last five minutes they went back to their chairs all having a white card to write down their most important idea and contribution. It became as silent as in a church. What a rich and in itself contrasting form: leaving the chairs, the murmuring, the ‘public’ debate, the concentrated silence.
